Flowers For Angelo
A benefit for the homeless

The AlleyWalkers Presents: Flowers For Angelo A benefit for the homeless You are invited to a free interactive art compilation titled “Flowers for Angelo” an event that benefits the homeless population of the great city of Albuquerque. We ask that you participate by bringing collateral about services that you provide that help the thousands of homeless individuals in our city and by sharing this event with the community. This is a unique opportunity to be in front of people seeking services as well as those who are interested in being involved with agencies like yours.:

“Flowers for Angelo” features a glimpse into the life of Angelo Parker, a Vietnam veteran and homeless man who attempts to get by selling roses in downtown Albuquerque. Angelo is followed by a small camera crew as he tells the story of his upbringing and his lifelong dream to be a professional singer.:

A live musical performance with Angelo as well as flower making from recycled materials are but some of the exciting things to happen at this event, topped by the screening of, “You Took Away My Toys” (The AlleyWalkers). Light appetizers will be provided by Farina Pizzeria, Slate Street Cafe and Los Poblanos.:

A silent auction of an art installation, digital downloads of an original song by Angelo Parker, and general donations will help purchase a phone plan and ‘square’, as well as some healthcare for Angelo Parker and help curate a downtown mural to serve as a reminder that some of Albuquerque’s residents need a helping hand.:

If you can attend the event please RSVP by Wednesday Aug. 26th. If you are unable to attend consider sharing the attached flyer via your various channels. We understand the pivotal role that you play in helping end homeless in Albuquerque and truly hope that you can attend.:
